32ish miles of Sunday Funday ride.
Two states = Double Fun.
We start at the Park and Ride in Yardley (exceptional bathrooms) and head north on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River via the D&L Trail to Lumberville.
There is a towpath detour just south of New Hope which will require us to be on the road for about a half mile. Rather than get back on the towpath we will ride through New Hope on Main Street and get back on the towpath 8/10ths of a mile past Bridge Street.
Our break will be at the Lumberville General Store, but first we continue on the towpath for about a half mile to check out the NEW Lumberville Aqueduct Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge had been closed since September 2021 due to severe damage from Tropical Storm Ida, which destroyed a structural pier.
After the break we cross the mighty Delaware River into New Jersey and head south to Ewing on the D&R Canal Towpath and cross the Scudder Falls Bridge back to the Yardley Park and Ride.
Forecast calls for mostly sunny on Sunday with a start temperature of 51F and ending temperature of 61F.
