About this event

Grinding through the Sourlands and/or surrounding area awaits! Varied terrain but a nice mix of flats and hills. Rain and/or wet roads cancel.

For the kickoff ride of 2026, I've pulled out an old route that originated with Diane Hess (the Griggstown Grinder herself!) and that I last used in 2017, after changing the starting location from Montgomery Park to Skillman Park. I am also categorizing this as a C+ ride and will go as slow as the slowest rider. The planned route, elevation gain and distance are: ~21 miles, ~827 feet (39 feet/mile).

There should be a porta-potty at the start. Expect 13.2-13.9 mph average speed for the ride as we shake the rust from our legs. Faster riders are always welcome to ride ahead if they have the route.
