PFW Slideshow

Welcome to the new Princeton Freewheelers website.

We offer over 900 rides annually for cyclists at all levels. Feel free to check our ride calendar to review current ride listings. Nonmembers are invited to join our rides, but insurance requirements allow one ride before joining the club. Annual membership fees are $25 for individuals and $35 for families. Note that helmets are required and your bike must be in good working condition. Members also are invited to attend several social events that occur throughout the year.

The Annual PFW General meeting will occur, Monday, March 5th, 7:00 pm.

Location: Princeton “old Borough hall”, 1 Monument Drive, Princeton NJ, 08540

The board will discuss the club’s direction in 2018 and will present the new board members.

Keynote Speaker: Robert Blanda

Robert Blanda, Founder of BikePacking.US and Executive Producer of "Lost Not Lost, A Bicycle Touring Story" will guide you through preparing for your first tour, whether it's a single overnight or a year-long journey.

Forget letting bus and train routes dictate your schedule. Forget settling for tour operators’ carbon-copy itineraries. On a bicycle, you’re in control. Life slows enough for you to digest every sight, every smiling face, every facet of a successful tour. Fully-loaded, self-supported bicycle touring involves unique demands, however. A successful tour is the result of thoughtful preparation.

Learn the steps to convert or build a bicycle, pack the necessary gear and live out your days on the open road. A fully-loaded bicycle will be present for you to touch, feel and see the configuration of a fully-qualified road touring machine.

I hope to see many of you at the meeting. Light refreshments will be served.

2018 "Princeton Event Cancelled

We're taking a break from the annual event this year. The club will take this year to allow those who've worked on the event for many years to take a year off while we reassess our goals and restructure a meaningful opportunity for today's ridership based on several items - even those that have always been set in stone.
